A: It depends on the valve size, pressure class, and gasket material. For a standard 6" ANSI 150 valve with EPDM seat, we recommend 70–80 ft-lb on carbon steel bolts. A: No. The wafer valve itself does not act as a gasket. You must use full-face or ring gaskets on both sides. Thriveon offers compatible EPDM/PTFE gaskets tailored to our valve face-to-face dimensions.
