Answer: PN10 stands for “Pressure Nominal 10 bar” (approximately 145 psi). It means the valve is designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at ambient temperature. The shell (body) is hydrostatically tested at 1.5× PN10 (15 bar) to ensure safety. Our PN10 butterfly valves are fully compliant with EN 593 and ISO 10631.
Answer: A wafer type butterfly valve is sandwiched between two pipe flanges and uses guide bolts to center it. It is lighter and more cost-effective, but it cannot be used for dead-end service.
