Why Inadequate Backflow Prevention Costs You More Than Water Quality

If your double check valve backflow preventer fails—or isn't certified for local code—you risk contamination lawsuits, system downtime, and costly retrofits. Purchasing managers and facility engineers we work with report these top frustrations:

  • False economy from low-cost imports that fail pressure tests within 6 months, leading to 3x replacement cost.
  • Non-compliance with local codes (UPC, IPC, NSF 61/372) — fines up to $12,000 per violation in some US states.
  • Excessive shipping weight & freight delays from unreliable overseas suppliers; lead times over 60 days.
  • Poor corrosion resistance causing internal fouling, higher pressure drop, and frequent maintenance.
  • Unresponsive after-sales service — no replacement parts, no technical support when you need it most.

Frequently Asked Questions — Double Check Valve Backflow Preventer Procurement

What is the difference between a double check valve and a reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventer?

A double check valve assembly (DCVA) uses two independently operating check valves to prevent backflow under non-health-hazard (low to moderate hazard) conditions. An RPZ includes a differential pressure relief valve and is required for high-hazard (health hazard) applications. Most commercial fire and irrigation systems use DCVA. Always consult local codes — we can help you choose the right assembly.

Are your double check valve backflow preventers certified for use in the United States?

Yes. Our DCVAs carry NSF 61 (drinking water) and NSF 372 (lead-free) certification, and are listed by ASSE 1015. We also comply with AWWA C510 and USC FCC&CHR standards. UL/FM listing for fire protection models is in process — contact us for current certification status for your specific model.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for double check valve assemblies?

For standard sizes (¾"–2" threaded), MOQ is 10 units for stock models. For larger flanged sizes (2½"–10"), MOQ is 5 units. OEM/private label orders with custom packaging and branding require a minimum of 50 units. We also offer sample orders (1–2 units) at sample price for qualification/testing.

How long does shipping take to the USA or Europe?

For stock sizes, we ship within 7–12 business days. Air freight (DHL/FedEx) reaches US east coast in 4–6 days. Sea freight (FOB Tianjin or CIF to your port) takes 18–28 days depending on destination. We also offer express shipping with real-time tracking. Contact us for a quote on your specific delivery address.

Our engineering team will work with your specs. Lead time for OEM orders is typically 25–35 days after drawing approval. Start your OEM inquiry →

What payment terms do you offer for international buyers?

We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C at sight, and Western Union for new customers. For established relationships and larger orders, we offer 30% deposit + 70% against copy of B/L. PayPal is available for sample orders. We also provide trade assurance for eligible transactions.

Do you provide warranty and after-sales technical support?

Yes. Every double check valve backflow preventer carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Our in-house engineers (10+ years of valve design experience) provide free technical support via phone, email, and WhatsApp. We also stock common repair parts and can ship them urgently.
