What is a dual check valve and how does it differ from a single check valve?
A dual check valve (also called dual plate check valve) features two spring-loaded discs that close independently against a central seat. It provides faster closing, lower pressure drop, and better backflow prevention than a single swing or lift check valve. The dual design also reduces water hammer and allows installation in both horizontal and vertical lines.
Can dual check valves be used for potable water? Do they meet WRAS / NSF 61?
Yes. Our dual check valves with EPDM seats are WRAS approved (UK) and comply with NSF/ANSI 61 for potable water. We provide a WRAS certificate with every potable water order. For US projects, we also offer models that meet ASSE 1024 and USC FCC requirements.
What is the typical lead time and minimum order quantity?
