A wafer type butterfly valve is sandwiched between two pipe flanges with bolts passing through the valve body. It is lighter and more compact than a lug valve. A lug butterfly valve has threaded inserts on both faces, allowing for dead-end service (downstream pipe removal without depressurizing the system). Choose wafer for cost-sensitive, non-critical isolation. Choose lug when you need to isolate one side of the line.
Absolutely. We offer disc materials including SS316, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Hastelloy C276, Monel K500, and Titanium. For high-temperature applications above 200°C (392°F), we recommend a metal seat design with a flexible graphite gasket. For standard wafer butterfly valves (DN50–DN300, ductile iron / EPDM), we ship in 12–15 working days from PO confirmation. For a mixed 20-ft container with valves of varying sizes and materials, the lead time is 18–22 working days. Custom builds with special alloys or actuation may take 28–32 working days. We provide a weekly production tracker to all clients, and we cover demurrage if we miss the agreed ETD.
Yes. We welcome third-party inspections by BV, SGS, TÜV, Lloyds, or Intertek at our factory. We also offer witnessed pressure testing, dimensional inspection, and material verification. All standard shipments include EN 10204 3.1 material certificates and a hydrostatic shell & seat test report. Upon request, we provide PMI (Positive Material Identification) and ferrite content measurement for duplex grades.
