📩 Get Free Quote in 24h or call +86-311-86935302If you're sourcing trunnion ball valves for high-pressure or high-temperature service, you've likely encountered these frustrations:
Industry reports show that low-cost Asian imports experience failure rates as high as 18% within two years. Leakage at the seat, stem seal failure, and body porosity are the top three failure modes. When a valve fails in a gas pipeline or refinery, downtime costs can exceed $12,000 per hour.
You source a valve at $2,800 — but by the time you add expedited shipping, import duties, third-party inspection, and replacement inventory, your total cost of ownership jumps 40-60%. Many buyers tell us they discovered "cheap" valves ended up costing more than premium alternatives within 18 months.
You need technical documentation — material certs, NDE reports, fire-safe test records. But many suppliers go silent after the payment clears. Without proper documentation, your plant can't pass OSHA or EPA audits, and your insurance premiums increase.
Standard lead times of 18-26 weeks from traditional manufacturers force you to carry 30% excess inventory. One delayed valve can push an entire pipeline commissioning back by months. In the current supply chain climate, reliability in delivery is just as critical as reliability in the valve itself.
When you need a technical specification clarified at 10 PM your time, you need an engineer who responds — not an automated email. Language barriers, cultural differences, and 12-hour time gaps cause months of back-and-forth that could be resolved in days.
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone. Our customers came to us with these exact pain points. Here's how we solved them.

trunnion ball valve manufacturers trunnion ball valve trunnion valve ball
In a trunnion ball valve, the ball is supported by a fixed shaft (trunnion) on both top and bottom, which absorbs the thrust load from line pressure. This makes trunnion valves ideal for high-pressure, large-diameter, and critical-service applications. In a floating ball valve, the ball is pressed against the downstream seat by line pressure — which works well for smaller sizes and lower pressures but can cause excessive operating torque and seat wear at higher classes. For Class 600 and above, or for sizes 6" and larger, a trunnion design is almost always recommended.
Yes. Our trunnion ball valves are API 607 (Ed. 7) and API 6FA certified for fire-safe service. The design features a primary soft seat (PTFE or PEEK) with a secondary metal seat backup. In the event of fire destroying the soft seat, the metal-to-metal seal provides positive shutoff. We can provide the fire-test certificate and witnessed test report with every order.
For standard configurations (Class 150-600, carbon steel body, standard trim), our lead time is 6-10 weeks from PO approval. For custom-engineered valves — including special materials (duplex, Monel, Inconel), extended bonnets, or NACE-compliant trim — lead time is 10-14 weeks. We also offer a 4-week expedited service for urgent requirements at a 15% premium. Over 90% of our orders ship on or before the confirmed date.
Absolutely. We routinely produce valves for sour gas (H₂S) service in compliance with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for all wetted parts. This includes hardness-controlled materials (HRC ≤ 22 for carbon steel, HRC ≤ 35 for stainless steel), controlled sulfur content, and certified NACE trim. We provide full NACE documentation including material test reports, hardness test reports, and a NACE compliance matrix.

Our standard MOQ is 5 units per size/class combination. However, for first-time customers or sample orders, we can accommodate 1-2 units at a slightly higher unit price. We also offer a free sample valve (size 2"-6") for qualified buyers — you only pay shipping. This allows you to evaluate our quality and fit before committing to a larger order.
Yes. We welcome and encourage third-party inspection by BV, SGS, Lloyd's, DNV, or your own representative. Our facility in Hebei, China, is easily accessible, and we arrange inspection visits with 48 hours' notice. All valves are hydrostatically and pneumatically tested in accordance with API 598 / ISO 5208 in the presence of the inspector, and a signed test certificate is issued.
We ship via sea freight (FOB Tianjin or CIF to your nearest port), air freight, or express (FedEx/DHL for small orders). For US customers, we ship primarily to Houston, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and New York/Newark. We handle all export documentation, including customs clearance, certificate of origin, and bill of lading. Typical sea freight time to US Gulf ports is 25-30 days. We also offer door-to-door delivery for consolidated orders.
We provide a 24-month warranty from the date of shipment against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This covers body porosity, seat leakage above allowed limits, stem seal failure, and structural defects. We also offer an extended warranty option (36-60 months) for critical-service applications with an additional quality assurance program. Our warranty is supported by a $2M product liability insurance policy through a major international insurer.

What our buyers say about their experience working with Thriveon Valve.
"We've been sourcing valves from Asia for 12 years. Thriveon is the first supplier that consistently ships on time with the right documentation. Their trunnion ball valves for our Texas gas plant arrived with complete NACE paperwork — no chasing, no excuses. That alone saves my team 20 hours per order."
— Ryan T., Supply Chain Manager, Midstream Energy, Houston, TX, USA — 12 months in partnership
"I was skeptical about switching suppliers for a Class 1500 hydrogen service application. Thriveon's engineering team sent a 14-page technical proposal with finite element analysis (FEA) data and a detailed material selection rationale. That level of rigor convinced us. The valves have been in service for 8 months with zero issues."
— Ahmed R., Senior Mechanical Engineer, Refinery & Petrochemical, Saudi Arabia — 2 repeat orders
"We needed 24" trunnion ball valves for a water injection project in South Africa. The lead time from European manufacturers was 32 weeks. Thriveon delivered in 9 weeks. The quality was on par with what we'd expect from established European brands at a 35% cost saving. Our client was impressed."
— James M., Project Director, Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC), Johannesburg, South Africa — 3 projects completed
"The after-sales support is exceptional. We had a query about seat torque values during installation at 2 AM in Italy. Their senior engineer responded via WhatsApp within 30 minutes with a detailed explanation and a revised torque table. That's the kind of partnership we value."
— Marco F., Maintenance & Reliability Manager, Oil & Gas Terminal, Italy — 18 months in service
"As a small distributor, I need a valve manufacturer that treats me fairly even with low volumes. Thriveon has never turned me away for a 2-valve order. Their pricing is transparent, they ship on time, and when one valve arrived with a minor painting defect, they replaced it immediately without a return shipping charge. That tells you everything about their integrity."
— Carlos G., Owner, Industrial Valve Distributor, California, USA — 2+ years of partnership

What Our Customers Say
"We tested 4 suppliers for a Class 1500 gas injection project. Thriveon's trunnion ball valves passed every API 598 test on the first attempt — something none of the other suppliers could match. Their documentation was complete and bilingual. We've now placed 3 repeat orders."
— Thomas K., Senior Procurement Engineer, Oil & Gas Operator, Texas, USA
"The lead time was 8 weeks — half of what our previous supplier quoted. And when we needed a minor design change to the stem extension, their engineering team responded within 24 hours with a revised drawing. That level of support is rare."
— David M., Project Manager, Petrochemical Plant, Saudi Arabia
