Forged steel (used in our stainless steel forged steel valves) has a denser grain structure, offering higher pressure ratings and better resistance to shock and vibration. Forged valves are ideal for high-pressure applications (Class 600 and above) and smaller sizes (≤2″). Cast valves are more economical for large diameters and low-pressure systems.
