1. What exactly is a sliding valve, and how is it different from a ball valve?
A sliding valve uses linear motion to move a disc or gate into the flow path, ideal for isolation (fully open/closed) or throttling. Common types include gate valves and globe valves. Unlike a ball valve (quarter-turn rotary), sliding valves provide a straight-through flow path with low pressure drop and are better suited for high-pressure, high-temperature services. 4. How do you handle international shipping, and what are the costs like to the USA?
We ship FOB Tianjin Port (or CIF/DAP on request). For a typical 20ft container of sliding valves (approx. 300–500 units depending on size), sea freight to Houston or Los Angeles ranges $3,500–$5,500 (as of 2025–2026). We consolidate LCL for smaller orders. All shipments are fully insured and include commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and third-party inspection reports if required. We can also arrange door-to-door DDP for select markets.
5. What payment terms do you offer for first-time buyers?
For new customers, we typically require 30% T/T deposit with the balance paid before shipment (or against copy of BL for LC). For established clients, we offer 40% deposit / 60% against BL. We also support L/C at sight and, for qualified buyers, Net 30–60 after a credit review. We accept wire transfer (USD), PayPal (small orders), and Alibaba Trade Assurance. (3) Final testing — shell hydrostatic test (1.5× rated pressure), seat leakage test (per API 598), and visual inspection.
