Procurement managers & technical directors: slash unplanned downtime and fugitive emissions with API-compliant gate, globe, check & butterfly valves. Direct from a vertical-integrated Chinese manufacturer — no middlemen, full traceability.
Trusted by refineries in USA, Saudi Arabia, South Africa & Italy — 10+ years of export experience
In a 2024 refining industry report, 37% of unplanned outages were traced to valve leakage or stuck operation. Every hour of downtime in a mid-size refinery burns up to $200,000 in lost production. Standard valves sourced from low-cost suppliers often fail under thermal cycling.
EPA and OSHA are tightening methane and VOC emission limits. Fugitive emissions from valve packing and seat seals account for over 60% of a refinery's leakable sources. Non-compliant valves can lead to fines exceeding $1M per incident and loss of operating permits.
Waiting 26–40 weeks for API-6D gate valves from traditional European manufacturers? Or receiving batches from multiple foundries with inconsistent hardness, wall thickness, and pressure test results? Either scenario delays your project and forces expensive rework.
"Cheap" valves with thin flanges, non-certified materials, or improperly heat-treated bodies fail prematurely. Replacing a single 12″ class 150 gate valve in a refinery can cost $8,000–$15,000 in labor and disposal — far exceeding the initial saving.
You need a valve partner who delivers API-grade quality, traceability, and on-time delivery — without the premium markup. That's exactly what Thriveon Valve was built for.
Every valve we ship meets or exceeds API 600, API 602, API 6D, and ASME B16.34. We combine vertical-integrated foundry control with 10+ years of refinery-specific engineering to give you a valve that:
Our carbon steel & stainless steel bodies are hydrostatically tested at 1.5× rated pressure. Standard materials include A216 WCB, A351 CF8M, and A217 WC6 for sour service.
Low-emission packing with graphite + SS braided rings, plus live-loaded stem seals. Independently tested to class BH (tightest classification) for methane service.
Each casting carries a heat number and serial ID. You receive MTR (Material Test Report) with every order — auditable back to the foundry melt.
In-house foundry + machining center means 4–10 weeks for standard sizes, 12–18 weeks for large-bore or specialty alloys. Expedited options available.
Need a non-standard face-to-face dimension, special NACE trim, or actuated assembly? Our engineers review and quote custom modifications within 48 hours.
Vertical integration eliminates 3–4 layers of intermediaries. You get API-quality valves at 30–50% below European/US list prices, with full warranty.
All valves are designed, tested, and certified per API 598 / ISO 5208 Rate A. Below are the most common configurations for refinery applications.

Gate & globe valves handling sour crude, 750°F+ transfer lines, and vacuum tower bottoms. Our A217 WC6 gate valves with 13Cr trim have delivered 4+ years of continuous service in a US Gulf Coast refinery.
High-pressure, hydrogen-rich environments demand valves with zero leakage. Thriveon trunnion ball valves with graphite seals and live-loaded stem packing are NACE MR0175 compliant for wet H₂S service.
Large-bore butterfly valves for tank farms, loading racks, and pipeline pigging stations. Our triple-offset butterfly valves offer bidirectional zero leakage at 1.5× rated pressure — ideal for gasoline, diesel, and aromatics.
Globe valves for boiler feedwater, steam letdown, and condensate recovery. Designed with plug-type discs and hardened seat surfaces for high-pressure drop applications.
We provide certified MTR, PMI test reports, and hydrostatic test certificates with every shipment. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Lloyds) is welcome at no extra coordination fee.
For general refinery gate valves, the most relevant standards are API 600 (bolted bonnet gate valves for petroleum and natural gas industries) and API 6D (pipeline valves). Additional standards include ASME B16.34 for pressure-temperature ratings and API 598 for inspection and testing. Thriveon offers gate valves that meet all these standards, with full documentation.
Yes. We regularly manufacture refinery valves with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliance. This includes controlled hardness materials (e.g., A216 WCB with hardness ≤ 22 HRC, A351 CF8M with ≤ 22 HRC, and trim materials like 316L or 13Cr with proper heat treatment). We include certified MTRs and NACE compliance statements with each order.
For standard sizes (2″–12″) in A216 WCB or A351 CF8M, our lead time is 4–6 weeks from order confirmation. For larger sizes (14″–24″) or higher pressure classes (600–2500), typical lead time is 8–12 weeks. Expedited production (2–3 weeks) is available for emergency turnaround orders — contact us with your required delivery date.
Absolutely. We partner with leading actuator brands (Rotork, Auma, Limitorque, and Emerson) to deliver fully assembled and tested actuated valve packages. We can also integrate your preferred actuator — just share the mounting and torque requirements. Each assembly undergoes full functional test before shipment.
We ship on FOB (Tianjin/Qingdao), CIF, CFR, or DDP terms. For USA buyers, DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is popular — we handle all customs clearance and import duties. Payment options include T/T (30% deposit, 70% against BL copy), L/C at sight, and for qualified buyers, Net 30 after credit review. Minimum order quantity is 1 piece for standard valves; custom projects may require 5–10 pieces depending on complexity.
We operate a single foundry + single machining facility — no subcontracting. Every melt is spectro-analyzed (PMI) before pouring. Each valve body is X-ray or ultrasonic tested per ASTM A609 / A388. Assembly and pressure testing follow a lot-controlled traceability system. Third-party inspectors are welcome at any stage.
Yes. For qualified engineering firms and EPC contractors, we provide free sample valves (up to 4″ size) for qualification testing. The buyer covers shipping; we provide the valve and full test documentation. Contact our sales team with your company credentials and intended application.
"We ordered 86 of the 6″ Class 150 gate valves for a cooling water replacement project. They arrived 5 weeks ahead of schedule and every single valve passed the hydrostatic test with zero issues. The carbon steel casting quality is noticeably better than what we used to get from other Asian suppliers — no slag inclusions, uniform wall thickness. I've already added Thriveon to our approved vendor list."

"The documentation package is what sets Thriveon apart. Full MTRs, NACE certificates, hydro test charts, and even the foundry heat logs — all in a well-organized digital folder. Our client (a major North Sea operator) accepted the valves without any additional queries. This saved us weeks of back-and-forth."
— Frame agreement signed: Jan 2025
"We replaced a competitor's ball valves that were leaking after only 8 months in LPG service. Thriveon's trunnion ball valves with DBB design have been running for 14 months now — zero leakage, zero maintenance. The live-loaded stem seal really works. We're standardizing on their valves for all new projects."
— Ongoing since: Nov 2024
"We needed 12″ butterfly valves with Hastelloy C-276 discs for a corrosive aromatics unit. Thriveon's engineering team worked with us on the trim specification and delivered in 9 weeks — half the time quoted by European suppliers. The valves have been in service for 8 months with zero issues. Competitive pricing too."
— Commissioned: Mar 2025
"Thriveon's logistics team handled the DDP shipment flawlessly — cleared customs in Durban within 2 days, no demurrage. The 40-foot container arrived with proper packing, no damage. Valve performance is excellent. We've placed three repeat orders already."
