A reduced port ball valve has a bore size smaller than the pipe’s full bore — typically one to two sizes down. Use it where a slight pressure drop is acceptable and you want a more compact, lighter, and cost-effective valve. It is ideal for on/off control in water, air, oil, and gas services.
The Cv value is lower than a full-port valve of the same nominal size. For example, a 2" reduced port valve may have a Cv of ~80 vs. ~150 for full port. However, for many systems the pressure drop is still within acceptable limits. We provide Cv data for every size to help you calculate.
Yes. We offer flanged reduced port ball valves in ASME B16.5 Class 150, 300, and 600, as well as EN 1092-1 flanges. Carbon steel (WCB) and stainless steel (CF8/CF8M) are standard.
Our standard valves are ISO 9001, CE, and RoHS compliant. Fire-safe design to API 607 is available on request. We also provide PED, ATEX, and material certificates (EN 10204 3.1).
