A precision needle valve uses a slender, cone-shaped "needle" stem tip that fits into a precisely machined seat. This design allows for much finer flow regulation (typically linear or equal percentage) compared to a standard globe valve. It is ideal for metering, sampling, and throttling applications where exact flow control is required.
For standard high-pressure applications in the USA, ASTM A182 F316/316L stainless steel is the most common choice due to its excellent corrosion resistance and durability. For sour gas (NACE MR0175), F51 Duplex or 316L with controlled hardness is required. We offer full material traceability and MTRs.
