High-performance butterfly valves (HPBV) feature a double-offset or triple-offset disc design that eliminates seat rubbing, provides bubble-tight shutoff, and handles higher pressures/temperatures (up to Class 600, 425°C). Standard butterfly valves use a concentric design and are limited to low-pressure, non-critical services.
