A 3/4 foot valve is a type of check valve specifically designed for installation at the bottom of a pump suction line. It includes a built-in strainer to prevent debris entry, and its spring-loaded disc ensures the pump retains prime when not running. A standard check valve typically lacks the strainer and is not optimized for vertical suction service.
Yes – the 3/4" foot valve is designed for vertical or near-vertical installation with the strainer pointing downward. Installing it horizontally may reduce sealing performance. Always confirm with our engineers if your application requires angled placement.
For standard 3/4 NPT foot valves in cast iron or SS304, MOQ is 50 pcs. For custom materials (e.g., Monel) or special seals (Viton®), MOQ is 200 pcs. Sample orders (1–5 pcs) are available at sample cost with free shipping for qualified buyers.
The strainer cage is retained by two screws on the side. Loosen screws, slide the cage off, and brush away debris. The 304 SS mesh is reusable. We recommend inspection every 3 months for clean water, monthly for sandy conditions.
