A double acting butterfly valve uses pneumatic pressure on both sides of the actuator piston to open and close the valve. Unlike spring return (fail-close or fail-open), it requires continuous air pressure to hold position. It is ideal for applications where fail-safe is not required and where you want faster cycling speeds (typically 0.5–2 seconds per 90° rotation) and lower actuator cost.

Yes — this is one of our most popular configurations. We supply CF8M (316 SS) disc with PTFE seat for chemical and pharmaceutical applications. The PTFE seat provides excellent chemical resistance and a leak rate of Class VI (zero bubbles at 6 bar). We also offer reinforced PTFE for higher pressure applications.
